The Big Idea - The Entrepreneur Challenge

A unique partnership between Bank of Scotland Corporate and The Sunday Times to offer pioneering entrepreneurs up to £35 million in funding.

 

The promotion was a UK wide initiative, and offered 6 regions the opportunity to win an investment of £5 million interest free funding for three years, and mentoring to help promote exceptional businesses to the next level. The promotion was a media first, with an unprecedented level of editorial engagement.

 

Coverage of the Challenge was integrated within the centre of The Sunday Times Business section, and was supported by a series of supplements focusing on clients from each region.. The site hosted content from the paper plus interviews and insight into the Entrepreneur arena.

 

Senior editorial representatives were involved in the selection and judging process for all of the regional events plus the grand final. The level of editorial involvement was unprecedented and demonstrated the commitment of our editorial teams to this project.

 

Results: 

 

  • A significant impact on candidate’s opinions of Bank of Scotland Corporate Brand, with 36% now thinking they are more flexible and innovative.
  • 41% now thinking that Bank of Scotland Corporate are a bank for entrepreneurs.
